Donating Furniture

Gainsborough Furniture & Resorce Centre are always looking for good quality furniture items to pass on to people in need.  However, storage facilities are limited and so we have to give priority for the collection and storage of furniture that is in the highest demand from our clients.

We also have to comply with Health & Safety regulations. Therefore settees, armchairs, beds, mattresses any other soft furnishings need to have an appropriate manufacturers fire safety label attached.

To be able to collect from you:

You should normally be within our catchment area of Gainsborough and a twelve mile radius of the town centre. A free collection service is operated.

The furniture must be in good, clean condition without rips or tears.

Settees, armchairs, beds and mattresses must have the manufacturers safety labels in place.

The furniture should be easily accessible. Our  volunteers collect from ground floor rooms only. (We regret that GFRC may have to refuse heavy or bulky items.)
